Program
The goal of this course is to study strong forms of the axiom of determinacy, like AD+ and AD_R, and their influence on the universe of sets. After briefly recalling standard facts about AD, we will look at several topics, including the cofinality of \Theta, the Solovay sequence, Suslin sets and uniformization, applications to Martin’s conjecture on Turing degrees. If time permits I would like to cover Woodin’s celebrated result that AD+DC+Unif implies AD_R.
