  • Deadlines:
    January of the 1st year: first presentation of the study plan – see Ph.D. study plan
    January of the 2nd year: possible modification and completion of the study plan
    End of the 1st and 2nd year: presentation of annual report, interview for admittance to the following year – see here

  • Personal web page
    On the webpage of the PhD program each PhD student has a personal page, that can be edited after login. Please upload your picture and, during your PhD, add information on your research work.

  • Research period abroad
    PhD students are strongly encouraged to spend at least 3 months (up to a maximum of 18 months) undertaking research abroad. During this period their fellowship will be increased by 50%.
    You can apply for the increase of scholarship online at this link ; you can refer to procedural guidelines both at this link and in this document.

  • Research funds
    Via the the U-Web platform PhD students can manage their own funds.

  • Travel refunding procedure
    Before travelling, PhD students should inform their tutor, who will provide an informal pre-authorization. Following such communication, the PhD students can use the U-Web platform to start the travel procedure ("Missione"). The procedure is closed with the refuniding request issued upon the conclusion of the travel. For further information: e-mail to Ufficio Missioni and Dottorato in Matematica.

  • Purchases
    Before issuing a purchase request, PhD students should inform the coordinator, who will provide an informal pre-authorization. Following such communication, the PhD students can use the RdA platform to start the purchase procedure ("Richiesta d'Acquisto"). For further information: e-mail to Ufficio Acquisti and Dottorato in Matematica.

  • Publications
    As soon as a paper is accepted for publication, PhD students are requested to insert it on the University database Iris AperTO, and to keep bibliographic data updated.

  •  Attività didattica
    I dottorandi e le dottorande possono svolgere, previo nulla osta del Collegio, attività di tutorato per il corpo studentesco dei corsi di laurea triennale e magistrale, anche retribuita, nonché, comunque entro il limite massimo di 40 ore in ciascun anno accademico, attività didattica integrativa (esercitazioni).
    L’indicazione del Collegio è di approvare le richieste di attività di nulla osta per didattica integrativa o di tutorato, presso i Corsi di Laurea dell’Università di Torino, fino ad un massimo di 60 ore annue, di cui al massimo 40 di didattica integrativa, previo parere favorevole del tutor. Le richieste di nullaosta di altro tipo verranno esaminate caso per caso.
    I bandi del Dipartimento di Matematica “G. Peano” per attività didattiche integrative o di tutorato sono visibili sulla pagina dedicata del sito del Dipartimento stesso, alla voce “Bandi e avvisi interni per attività di supporto alla didattica”.
